Filming

The weather has now improved so we have arranged for some lesson time for filming. This means that we will hopefully be finished filming and be ready to begin the editing of our final product soon. We are hoping to have finshed this task before half term in 3 weeks time.

Filming

We were hoping to begin filming for our final product this week but due to bad weather we have been unable to do this. We are hoping that the weather will clear up and we will be able to begin filming next week.

Story Boards

This is the groups first set of storyboards. This will give us a fair idea of what we are going to do but will need to be re-done in more detail.

Risk Asessment

We will be filming our production in Sheldon Country Park. This is a public park and is open to everyone, meaning that we will be allowed to film there but it would be best to film at a time when the park is quiet and there are not many people. There are also a lot of trees in the park and it will be quite dark when we are filming. For this reason we will be using torches so that we can see more clearly and to try to avoid injury. There is also a small stream in the park but the park itself covers a fairly large area so it will be easy to avoid being too near to the stream.

Similar Films

There are a number of films which use the horror genre and are similar to the one we plan to create. These include films such as Scream. This is a typical horror film and has all the traditional features such as scary music and the dark and very dim lighting used. The villain of the film appears to be very stereotypical of a horror film killer as he wears the black hooded cloak and black gloves.

I have now completed most of the tasks in my to do list although I still have a couple more things to do. The tasks which I am still to complete are the risk assessment and the schedule of filming. I plan to try and complete these tasks this week so that the filming process can begin next week.
